There's a well developed network of like-minded businesses in the Hastings area.
We've already brought together over 250 organisations in an Environmental Technologies Group.
Its members span companies, entrepreneurs and advisors in product design, waste management, construction, manufacturing, renewable energy and more. The Group meets for networking, seminars and training and we provide information on the latest grants and funding for the sector.
Our Environmental Advisory Group is a select panel of business leaders which guides us on trends and issues to help us ensure we deliver what companies in the sector really need.
The Product Development Centre, based at Sussex Coast College’s Ore Valley campus, is a full product design and development service for companies and entrepreneurs. It combines creative techniques with a rigorous foundation in engineering.
Using computer 3D modelling and analysis, the Centre offers cost effective rapid prototyping and reverse engineering facilities.
In addition, it provides professional development courses and training.
We have strong links with many other environmental bodies. These include EnviroBusiness, the industry organisation that helps companies with marketing information, networks, business opportunities and funding.
They also include the nearby University
of Brighton whose local campus
is at University Centre Hastings. The University is part of the South
East Knowledge Exchange - helping companies to bring innovative developments
to market faster - and a member of the Environmental Technologies Cluster
at Oxford University.
